Print screen on hlp please?

Hiya, i got a laptop a few weeks ago and the manual doesn't help. So i went to the help center and it didnt help either so i was wondering if anyone here could help. My print screen on says 'home' on it too btw. So when i press it and try to paste it to paint it doesnt paste anything. The help center says to press alt + print screen too, so i tried that and it went to my msn home page. Does anyone know what to do because im clueless! thanks.
