The overall risk of an earthquake is pretty low, and a richter 9 earthquake would be gigantic. Insurance would cover such a problem, and if you are making more money /or are much happier, don't worry about the risk of earthquakes. Also, the "experts" currently have warnings for mos locations. For example, it is supposedly "high" risk for an earthquake in Central U.S., but it has been high risk since the 70's. Also, the plate shift in Canada is nothing to be worried about.
