How do i use an if on a variable from user input using scanner?

Im programming in java but when i try to put a condition (if) on the user input it says that operator <= cannot be applied to java util scanner. what i want to do is get 3 different numbers by user input and use that if to say this variable can be less than or equal to this thats it if there is any other way about going with this please help thanks in advance.
