Baby Fever. Ready for a baby:)?

My husband and I just got married about 2 months ago. We have been dating for over ten years, and have both agreed we are ready and want a baby in our lives. I went out and bought OPK and have been using an ovulation calendar and everything. From what I thought, I always expected to be pregnant right away. But after researching it looks like it can take up to a year to get pregnant. My mom and husband tell me to just relax and it will happen when its right. I would like to just relax and let it happen but I find that it overtakes my mind sometimes. Any advice on what could increase my chances on conceiving in the VERY near future.
